How We Rate

This page explains how we collect and check information about an online casino before it appears on the site. The same method applies to every page, so you can see what a statement is based on and what we do not do.

Where the information comes from

We rely on documents published by the operator and by the licensing body, not on impressions or hearsay. Each fact on a page should trace back to one of these sources.

Player comments can show what to look at, but we do not treat them as proof of a fact. They are collected on a separate page, player opinions, and kept apart from the checked details.

What we check and why it matters

Each point below is chosen because it changes what a player in GB actually experiences, in money, time or protection.

We note who holds the licence, which regulator issued it and which operator is named in the terms. The regulator decides what protection and complaint routes a player has, so we state it plainly and do not imply more than the register shows. We also look at which countries are accepted or restricted.

We record the bonus size, minimum deposit, expiry, wagering requirement and any cashout cap. A large headline figure can mean little if the rollover is heavy or the maximum cashout is low. Our bonus overview shows these terms next to the offer.

We list deposit and withdrawal methods, currencies, minimum and maximum amounts, and the stated processing time. We also note which identity documents are requested, because verification often decides how fast a first withdrawal arrives. The details are collected on the withdrawal page.

We check the number of games, the named software providers, live casino options and whether a sportsbook exists. We look at support channels and hours, and at the responsible gambling tools: self-exclusion, deposit limits, time-outs and account closure. These tools should be easy to find and clearly described.

When sources disagree

Operators sometimes publish different numbers in different places, for example a bonus page that differs from the bonus terms. When this happens we give priority to the more specific and legally binding document, usually the terms of the offer or the general T&C.

If the conflict cannot be resolved, we say so on the page, show the range or both values, and avoid presenting one as certain. Third-party data, such as game provider lists from databases, is treated as less reliable than the operator's own statements.

How often pages are re-checked

Bonus terms, limits and payment options change without notice. We re-check pages against the sources above on a regular schedule and when we notice a change. We do not promise that every figure is current at the moment you read it.

Before you deposit, confirm the current terms on the operator's site. If you spot an error on ours, tell us and we will compare it with the source and correct it.

What we do not do

This site is informational and is not an offer of gambling. Gambling is for adults only and carries financial risk. Set limits you can afford, and use the operator's self-exclusion and deposit limit tools if play stops being enjoyable.
